
Dr. Michael Schneider, Associate Professor with the University of Pittsburgh talks about the latest research in the most effective forms of spine care.
Dr. Michael Schneider received his DC degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1982 and his PhD in rehabilitation science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008. He has been working at the University of Pittsburgh fulltime since 2009 as an Associate Professor, with appointments in the Department of Physical Therapy and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Dr. Schneider has received several federal research grants from both the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). He is the author of over 75 peer-reviewed publications, including articles published in high impact journals such as Spine, The Spine Journal and JAMA Network Open. Dr. Schneider practiced chiropractic for over 25 years before his transition into his current career as a fulltime academic and researcher. This unique blend of clinical, academic and research experience allows him to present complex information to a wide variety of audiences.
