The founding of Addiction Doctors stems from a deeply personal experience that changed the trajectory of my life. Twenty-five years ago, after realizing my dream of becoming an anesthesiologist, I became addicted to fentanyl—a drug that was then only available in hospitals. Spine specialist, Dr. Karl Louder shares a story of a man with multiple disc bulges resulting in severe back and leg pain.

Dr. Karl Louder was born in Quebec City, Quebec, but spent most of his growing up years in Airdrie, Alberta where he now works at a chiropractic office with a special interest in treating discogenic spine conditions such as spinal stenosis, disc herniations, and chronic low back pain.

He studied Exercise and Health Physiology in the prestigious Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary before going on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. 

Since returning to Airdrie Dr. Louder has enjoyed coaching local football and basketball teams. He’s a board member on the Airdrie Sports Council and is passionate about helping strengthen his community by improving access to recreation and sport. 

His long-term aspirations include creating a healthcare model to help address the paucity in quality spinal healthcare available to individuals living in rural areas. 

More than anything, Dr. Louder loves to spend quality time with his beautiful wife, Rebecca, and their 3 amazing children.

Spine specialist, Dr. Nate McKee shares a story of an automobile mechanic unable to work due to his severe leg pain.

Dr. Nate McKee grew up in Fort Wayne, IN. He was first introduced to the great state of Michigan, when he attended Albion College.
