I’m brought to tears almost hearing both the young&oldest member s acolades here who have loved,&cherished the work&enlightenment of our dear departed Dr.Cox.
I’m all alone down here in latin America, where Cox work among thousands of members ,and in 4 colleges is almost unheard of,&untaught,&non existent.
Having the privilege to ask Jim on problems over decades, and of other certified members, has been a life breath to me.
I sure hope we can see more of the legacy of these protocols,in an explosion of evidenced -based&clinically proven methods ,in places without theCox work available, especially as we know that it is the best evidence care before patients must face surgery.
When patients visiting the US. come back to Honduras having visited non Cox practitioners, receiving often unregulated cavitational methods,I have deeply to restrain myself over noting these damages created&trying not to bite my lip too hard,or screaming silently, just wondering if I can undo damages done.
Early on,in the 70s,numerous chiropractors were flying to Ft.Wayne to have Dr.Jim help them personally …,because of one of the essential reasons that both Dr.Jim and I,in our first year’s practices, found out that we couldn’t fix everything up to that point in time. One Dr.here mentioned Jim deciding against becoming an ACA.president to devote himself to furthering care to where he knew he had to go…
What a great conversion experience I had in 1976,(speaking as it were biblically),in my young mind of 26 ,when I heard Dr.Jim command respect of myself and only 3older men,in what he was quoting of early research, even from the start in Mixter&Barr in 1935,&the latest with Farfan etc.Basic things Id never before heard in 4yrs.at CMCC.&still where sadly no electives are yet taught. We as a class were even taught to downplay the disc as the primary pain generator of low back&neck pain.Dr.Cox was a pioneer to us,way ahead of his time.
I’ve carried his work since then, increasingly more so with the proofs in MRI,etc. in 25years here.
