Dr. Robert Rudy is a 1997 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic (Davenport) and has been at his current locations in Peterborough and Apsley, Ontario for over 15 years.

A chronic low back pain sufferer since his teens, Dr. Rudy uses the knowledge gained from his own experience to help empower and educate his patients on the proper management of their low back pain.

Dr. Rudy attends regular post-graduate training with a focus on: Concussion Management, Soft Tissue Therapy, low back pain, and neck pain.  He understands the importance of identifying and restoring abnormal function of the muscles and joints of the body.  Dr. Rudy has been a certified Cox® Technic Flexion Distraction Decompression practitioner since 2013 and utilizes the Cox protocols in the treatment of his patients.

When not in his office, Dr. Rudy can often be found in various arenas across Southern Ontario as the trainer for his son’s hockey team.

Dr. Casey M. Johnston is the owner and Clinical Director for Desert Springs Chiropractic. He has been in full time private practice since 2001. He is an alumnus of Oklahoma State University and Texas Chiropractic College. Prior to his work at DSCC, he worked as the Lead Chiropractor for multi clinic medical organization in Houston, Texas. During his tenure he trained and established chiropractic and rehabilitation protocols for the Chiropractic, Physical Medicine and Physical Therapy Departments for the various clinics.

Dr. J, as he is often called, has significant experience with over 16 years working with injuries to the spinal discs (herniations, bulges, degenerative discs, sciatica, etc.). After injuring his own L5/S1 disc, he developed protocols to help others recover based on his personal experience and success. He often employs Cox Flexion/Distraction, decompression and the McKenzie method for disc conditions. Often we work in combination with primary care physicians, pain management doctors and/or surgeons to achieve the best results for our patients.

Associate professor and clinician from National University of Health Sciences, Dr. Anna Jurik shares her clinical and teaching experience using Cox® Technic.

Dr. Anna Jurik is a licensed Chiropractic Physician and a Registered and Licensed Dietitian/ Nutritionist. She is a graduate of National University of Health Sciences, where she earned her degrees in Chiropractic Medicine, a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice and a certificate in Massage Therapy. She currently holds a position as a teaching clinician at the university and is ranked as an Associate Professor.

Her unique background has allowed her to take her teaching experiences outside of the standard classroom.  She has taught seminars, which has allowed her to educate her colleagues as well as personally expand her mindset and experiences.

Dr. Jurik also holds degrees in Exercise Physiology and Dietetics, and has earned various certifications and trainings over the years in order to diversify her treatment options. Dr. Kim Lazarus is a doctor of chiropractic whom graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 1997 and resides and practices in Anchorage, Alaska.

Dr. Lazarus has completed her certification in the Cox Technic and prior to this certification, she completed her national board certification as a health and wellness coach by completing the Integrative Health Coaching certification through  the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine in affiliation with Dr. Andrew Weil.

She has taught educational seminars to Doctors on motivational interviewing,  a great system to learn how to go from a doctor-centric care model to a patient-centric one.

In 2017 she was part of the chiropractic Success Summit which was a 7-day online virtual conference designed specifically for chiropractors and staff desiring to break through barriers and plateaus.
