On this episode Dr. Marc Baker from Nova Scotia Canada, is joined by his patient who shares a common low back pain story.

Dr. Marc Baker worked in a multidisciplinary private practice while also being a staff doctor at the Canadian Forces Base hospital in Halifax.  After his tenure with the Canadian Forces, he opened the first Disc Clinic in Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada. In the spring of 2015 he opened a second Disc Clinic in Dartmouth Nova Scotia.

Given his strong belief and passion for the Cox® Technic, Dr. Baker became a hands-on instructor and has taught workshops for other doctors from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Quebec, Canada.

Dr. Ted Siciliano has been in active practice for 35 years in the Manahawkin, NJ area.  Dr. Siciliano is a long-time certified Cox® Technic  practitioner who attends courses regularly to keep up on all the latest in research, biomechanics, and application of Cox Technic protocols. On this episode, we get the privilege of hearing from both the doctor and the patient.  Dr. Salvator Tocco, a spine specialist practicing in Cleveland, shares a story of a patient who had had multiple back surgeries before entering his office.  Then we get to hear the patient tell his treatment outcome with Dr. Tocco.

Dr. Salvator Tocco, DC, DACRB is director of Tocco Chiropractic & Rehabilitation that he founded in 1992.  Dr. Tocco has over twenty five years of clinical experience. Working together with an experienced team of professionals, Dr. Tocco has helped thousands of patients over the years to regain their health and vitality.

Dr. Tocco is part of the staff at Lutheran Hospital; Cleveland Clinic Health System. His interest lay in spinal care and joint rehabilitation. He treats patients with neck and back pain, headaches, involved in auto accidents, whiplash injuries, and work related injuries. Dr. Tocco has board certification in chiropractic rehabilitation and in motor vehicle crash dynamics and forensic risk analysis. He is a Certified Cox® Technic  doctor is both cervical and lumbar spine.

Dr. Tocco received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the esteemed Life University, College of Chiropractic, Marietta, Georgia in 1985. He regularly attends conferences and symposia sponsored by the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. Dr. Tocco completed a post–doctoral course of study in rehabilitation; The American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board currently registers him. Dr. Tocco has attended a post –doctoral course of study in clinical neurology at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri and an advance course in spinal related trauma from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, California.

New York, spine specialist, Dr. Gary Stefanick tells us an uplifting story about a woman who regained her life back after having debilitating sciatica.

Dr. Stefanick is a 1980 graduate of Rutgers College with a B.S. degree in Human Kinetics/ Biology, his further education was received in 1983 as a Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Stefanick continued on with post doctorate studies becoming a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board, and is board certified in many forms of physical rehabilitation. In addition to treating many injuries and conditions of the spine he is also proficient in treating and rehabilitating injuries of the extremities, especially conditions of the shoulders, knees, and hips. In addition to using Cox® Technic Flexion Distraction Manipulation  of the spine he also includes in and out of office exercise protocols in his rehabilitation programs.

Throughout his life Dr. Stefanick has run 28 marathons in the U.S. and abroad, competed in 67 triathlons, and is an avid skier and tennis player. He has been treating patients from the tristate area for the past 32 years within his west village office.

This episode’s spine specialist, Dr. Craig Dillman shares an interesting story of a physician who injured his neck doing a yoga head stand.

Dr. Dillman has over 35 years experience treating the most difficult spine cases.  He often receives referrals from other doctors to defer spinal surgery and reduce pain, particularly individuals who cannot take pain medication.

His expertise is the treatment and evaluation of patients who are having mobility problems associated with arm, leg and back pain that often results from spinal disorders such as disc herniations, arthritis and spinal stenosis.

Dr. Dillman received his Bachelor of Science degree from San Diego State University and this doctorate from LACC.  He practices in San Diego.

Today our discussion with spine specialist, Dr. Jeffrey Langmaid is on spinal stenosis.

Spine specialist, Dr. Ted Arkfeld tells an interesting story of a high school student athlete who suffered a concussion during the off season basketball.

Ted A. Arkfeld, D.C., M.S., C.P.C., is a 1988 graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic where he also received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. He earned his Master’s of Science in Biomechanical Trauma from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.

For the past ten years, Dr. Arkfeld has focused solely on chronic conditions such as disc herniations, disc degeneration, spinal stenosis, and failed back surgery cases.  In 2009 he successfully became certified in Cox® Technic and recently completed his recertification process.  Dr. Arkfeld uses the latest research, technology, and clinical expertise in order to bring about successful clinical outcomes.

Law enforcement officers have particular job requirements that predispose them to back pain.  Spine specialist, Dr Nate McKee tells us about these challenges.

Dr. Nate McKee is a chiropractor out of Davison, MI. He graduated in 2016 with his Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences. Dr. McKee and his wife, Dr. Shannon McKee, recently opened their chiropractic and acupuncture practice, McKee Chiropractic Unlimited, back in October of 2016.

Though a recent graduate, Dr. Nate McKee has gained significant clinical experience, which has made him comfortable diagnosing and treating complex neck and back conditions.  While in chiropractic school he did an Externship at the Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN, he’s earned Cox® Technic Certification, and he is working towards becoming a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.
